Started in 1981, Mauser Insurance grew at the time crop insurance was privatized and allowed to be sold through the agent. Before this, it was always administered through the government, but we saw the potential to help not only the farmers in Iowa, but the agricultural needs of people nationwide. While the industry was new, we forged ahead, loving our home state of Iowa and dedicated to bringing aid that cannot be matched on a local or national level. We have always believed our home-grown roots have been a key to our success because we live and breathe farming -- our office is accessible and located in the middle of farm lands in Mitchell County, Iowa. This passion has been passed along three generations and allowed us to help our community grow and thrive, as well as the industry at large. It is from our commitment to ensuring the long-term interests of our customers, reliable service, sound judgement, and strategic planning that we have been able to bring success and prosperity to countless families and will continue to do so for years to come.

Starting second generation under his father Dean Mauser, Richard joined the crop insurance mechanism during it's vital privatized inception in 1981. He has since developed on his 40 years of experience in the industry, offering the most choices of multi-peril & crop hail coverage plans available for today's farmer. Through his leadership and a passion for helping growers, he has built Mauser Insurance into a thriving business and Iowa's premiere crop insurance company.

Starting third generation under his father, Derek has developed on his 20 years of experience in the industry with the goals of offering impeccable service and to provide the expertise the farmer has come to expect from Mauser Insurance. Actively engaged in the leadership of the business, he embodies the company's ethical practices and desire to put the grower's needs first.
